We are partnering with Keepsake House to bring back The Writers Room this year. Keepsake House is a home for independent artists to share the stage and build community, not competition. The Writers Room is welcoming applications from songwriters to perform in-the-round at the cafe-style acoustic Cider House Stage at Stone Ridge Orchard with performances to be scheduled during portions of Saturday, September 13th and Sunday, September 14th.

Performers will be paid, receive free festival admission for the day of their set, and have the opportunity to connect with other artists. We are seeking performers who are based in the Hudson Valley, Catskills, and New York City regions, who have live performance experience (open to all genres), and who have a shared passion with Meadowlark’s mission to support local farming initiatives. For this year’s program, we are seeking only solo artists who are able to accompany themselves on stage. Backline will be provided (PA, amp, and mics with a front of house sound engineer).

Where are you based?

While we are open to submissions from anyone, we are focusing on local artists from the New York City, Catskills, and Hudson Valley regions.

Are you a solo artist and performer?

For this roundtable format, we are currently only accepting songwriters who can accompany their own performance.

Performance video submission

Please share a link to one of your live performances that you feel best represents your style, and would be a fit for the Writers Room. Song should be original by you (no covers, please!). Video of a live performance is preferred, but you can share a Bandcamp/Spotify/etc. link if you don't have any live performance videos.

Which day(s) are you available to perform?

Songwriters will perform in-the-round with other artists. Performances will take place from approximately 1:30 to 5:30 on Saturday and Sunday.
