Now Accepting Applications For The Writers Room!

This year we’re partnering with Keepsake House, a home for independent artists to share the stage and build community, not competition. Together, we’re adding a second, more intimate performance space to Meadowlark: The Writers Room. We are welcoming applications from songwriters to perform short sets (approx. 10-15 min) at the cafe-style acoustic Cider House Stage at Stone Ridge Orchard with performances to be scheduled during portions of Saturday, September 14th and Sunday, September 15th.

Performers will be paid, will receive free festival admission for the day of their set, and will have the opportunity to connect with other artists. We are seeking performers who are based in the Hudson Valley, Catskills, and New York City regions, and who have live performance experience (open to all genres). Backline will be provided (PA, amp, keyboard, mics with a front of house sound engineer). For this year’s program, we are seeking only solo or duo artists.

We are looking for artists whose work aligns with the phases of growth, and the overall themes of Meadowlark’s mission to support local farmers:

  • Seed (Identity, Belonging, Home, Beginnings)

  • Plant (Growth, Connection, Support, Adversity)

  • Bloom (Evolution, Change, Renewal)

  • Harvest (Gathering, Collection, Decay, Rebirth)

Interested in performing in The Writers Room? Apply below.

Submission deadline is July 12, 2024!

If you’ve previously submitted our booking form, we encourage you to submit again here to be considered specifically for The Writers Room format.
